Smartcard piracy did no favours to ITV D but it was not an immediate threat to it's survival just as piracy wasn't going to bring down SKY Analogue although it did do damage. Yes of course ITV D were a commercial rival to SKY D but SKY were never in a position to destroy the platform, it was ITV's football folly which did that and SKY had nothing to do with that venture. This thread what he thinks of anyone who does not share his views I will give them anyway:) While grendy943 probably has no real interest in my opinons since he's made it quite clear in Yes after reading many of grendy943's posts that is the direction I assumed he was heading in, it does help if a post has a direct and obvious relevance to the quote given. They may have lost some cutomers due to ITV digital piracy in the short term but in the long term they regained their monopoly on UK pay tv - something far more valuable to them. This ignores the fact that of far greater advantage to sky (outweighing any disadvantge passed on from itv digital piracy) was the crippling of the ITV digital buisness. You say that Sky was losing out too from the piracy because it sold its content to ITV Digital. I believe he's talking about the net advantage to Sky.
